For a caramel couch, it could be super fun trying to make leather cozy by adding contrasting textiles like velvet. I did want to throw in only one throw blanket as the couch is already asymmetrical.

For a dark brown couch, I’d recommend choosing lighter color pillows for contrast. I found this really nice animal print pillow I thought was subtle but could be perfect for a more masculine environment like a bachelor pad.

For a white couch, I would see this first as a blanket canvas…literally! I’d always dreamed of having a cloud couch but I have too many pets and a boyfriend that likes to each on the couch. That’s why the internet is perfect so hopefully someone out there could use this design. With it being already white, let’s go all out on color. Kilim pillows, you already know, are my favorite. With their antique looking design, I chose two I already loved and pulled the colors I loved the most to be my complimentary pillows. Kilim pillows are super hard to find original via major decor store sites but I have always had good luck sourcing them from etsy.

For a grey couch, this was bitter sweet for me. I have never been a fan of grey but some how it always finds it’s way into my life. Because of that, I have mastered warming up grey and making it inviting. My number one trick is to add natural browns of any sorts. In our case, I added jute pillows to also make the environment feel more organic. Next, I sourced this playful throw blanket which would be adding in more color and browns to our seating area. I pulled the pink from the print and added a contrasting textile, velvet, to finish the look.

For a blue couch, or really any velvet couch-know that this is mean to be a statement piece. One does not just ~casually~ purchases a velvet couch hoping it looks low key. As the main course, I have provided some sides to the master piece. We’ve got two options! First would have a curated corner for the eclectic homes reading this, softer colors, matching throw blanket and lumbar pillow but with a pin-tucked velvet pillow to add texture. The second option would be a single statement pillow to add to the original boldness of the couch.
